Stories of female entrepreneurship in Italy continue to be increasingly successful.
This data is undoubtedly linked to some typical characteristics of us women:
For us, in fact, the drive to do business , as well as to enhance our professional skills, arises above all from the desire to realize the talent and passion for something beautiful and useful.
In other words, realising our dreams for ourselves and the community.
This trend is constantly growing: in the five-year period 2014-2019, companies headed by a woman increased ten times faster than those led by men ( source: Unioncamere – IV Report on female entrepreneurship ).
For a long time, however, when we entered the world of work, we suffered the weight of some cultural stereotypes , and the inadequacy of the system to favor the reconciliation of our personal, family and working life times.
The new uphill trend, on the other hand, is the encouraging and incontrovertible testimony of our ever stronger drive to bridge this contradiction.
In recent years, the Italian government has launched several increasingly substantial measures to support and promote female entrepreneurship : it is a series of incentives and concessions for the benefit of companies and companies led or composed by a majority of women.
These measures, as well as guaranteeing concrete support for the start-up of self-employment projects, have recognised the increasingly decisive role of intellectual resources and active players in the economic and social development of the country.
Indeed, encouraging and facilitating pink entrepreneurial initiatives has become a priority objective for the interest of the whole nation.
So this year, with the 2021 Budget Law, the Ministry of Economic Development established the Fund in support of women’s enterprise, an initiative with unprecedented features.
It is an endowment of 20 million euro, disbursed through non-repayable grants, soft loans, and vouchers for communication and marketing courses and technical and management assistance services.
In addition to start-ups, the fund includes important measures to support women’s enterprises established for more than 36 months.
Among these, the numerous non-repayable grants for strengthening the working capital are also a particularly valuable tool for dealing with the crisis caused by the ongoing health emergency.

The establishment of the Fund in support of female enterprises therefore has multiple purposes: in addition to guaranteeing the necessary incentive for the development of female entrepreneurial ideas with a particular technological vocation , it aims at promoting the culture and values of entrepreneurship among women.
This is because, despite the positive trend, women who decide to set up a business in Italy, especially in the technology sector, are still a minority, representing just over a quarter of the total entrepreneurial forces (26.6%).

We therefore imagine a future increasingly animated by female role models capable of inspiring and stimulating other women to write winning entrepreneurial stories .
In fact, supporting each other to succeed in every social, work and institutional sphere, animated by a productive team spirit, is the key to greater and lasting success.
In this process, we women have a great advantage: the ability to turn difficulties into opportunities, the attitudeto do instead of complaining, the ability to invent work where there is none, are already in our DNA.
