Great news among the latest JNH creations, the capsule collection of JNH wool bags which enriches the offer of our iconic products, always respecting the best craftsmanship techniques, with the use of fine materials, and an eye on innovation in design and details. Crochet, which has always been a distinctive feature of JNH’s DNA, with its versatility, is a technique that also lends itself to making winter or wool bags.
Each of our creations in pure virgin sheep’s wool from Val Sarentino, made using original methods, is a unique piece of traditional craftsmanship, then treated with innovative and sustainable dyeing methods.

High quality wool: a natural material from the Sarentino Valley
The material used to create these unique masterpieces is the natural, high-quality wool of happy sheep, which in summer graze on the mountain meadows of the magnificent Val Sarentino, in Alto Adige, an uncontaminated place, rich in different herbs. Here the sheep breathe pure air and drink crystal clear water, providing us with the best wool which is then processed with care, harmony and respect for nature and the environment.
Sheep have been raised in Val Sarentino since time immemorial. The wool of the Sarentino sheep is soft and soft and lends itself optimally to transmitting its natural properties: it cools in summer and warms in winter, regulates humidity by partially absorbing and leaving a feeling of dryness, finally, it produces a soothing effect on the body and skin. Its natural purity provides well-being for the mind and spirit.
Famous throughout the world, the typical outerwear of these areas, the Sarner Jangger, is knitted from the same pure sheep’s wool and combines natural comfort, durability and charm.
SUSTAINABILITY
The principle behind the processing of Sarentino wool is sustainability and respect for the environment: the wool is processed by South Tyrolean breeders who place value in the natural breeding of local sheep breeds such as Tyrolean mountain sheep. JNH thus contributes to supporting the local and sustainable commercial networks that have developed over the centuries.
WOOL MANUFACTURING
The raw wool is worked with passion with authentic machinery and respecting tradition. Once obtained, it is subjected to innovative dyeing processes designed specifically for JNH: wool coloring methods in a natural way, using organic dyes and natural pigments, extracted from fruit, flowers, roots and minerals. It is an innovative method, which takes up the ancient art of dyeing the “ars tinctoria”, which makes each yarn unique and unrepeatable, thanks to the irregularity and uniqueness of its final colour.
MANUAL WORK
Thanks to the experience gained by the women who gravitate around the JNH world, coordinated by Nicole, the JNH wool collection comes to life with careful and meticulous manual work: from knitting to assembly, with the choice of accessories that make each bag unique and valuable.
In each of our creations we want to remain faithful to the principle that places quality above quantity, in an authentic artisan vision. Each JNH product is unique and unrepeatable: therefore precious.
